Written by choir member Philip Bowell in 2015 and performed at that year’s Christmas concerts. Philip says:
I wrote the carol to go along with request from Tim [Laycock] and Phil [Humphries] for new ideas to come from the choir. I had been involved in the Bloxworth West Gallery Carols for 40 years and although the Pickard-Cambridge arrangements are interesting they are a very similar in style. I wrote the words to fit with what is traditionally expected from Christmas Carols and the tune in 6/8 time with a 3/4 chorus. Phil wrote a modified tune and arrangement in 3/4 time with a 6/8 chorus!
